Ontario Therapy operates on the traditional and treaty lands of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and Métis peoples, lands taken through colonial violence and upheld by broken treaties, including the Williams Treaties. These histories are not in the past—they continue to shape systemic inequities and barriers, including within mental health care.
We recognize the lack of adequate, culturally safe mental health resources for Indigenous communities and commit to being part of the change. Ontario Therapy offers low-fee and sliding scale therapy to help increase access to care. In addition, a portion of our proceeds is donated to a local Indigenous-led charitable organization working toward healing, justice, and community empowerment.
We honour the ongoing presence, resistance, and wisdom of Indigenous peoples, and we remain committed to continuous learning, unlearning, and meaningful action.
We invite continuous feedback and are always striving to better learn and respect the diversities of the different communities that reside on this land. We invite you to reach out to naomi@ontariotherapy.org.
